Angela Flores
Angela Flores is a seasoned educator with over 20 years of experience in Special Education, currently serving as Process Coordinator at both LEAD Innovation Studio and Park Hill South High School. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, certification in Cross-Categorical Special Education (K–12), and a master’s degree in Reading (K–12). Her academic and professional background equips her to support students with diverse learning needs across all grade levels.
In her role, Angela coordinates special education services, guides evaluation and IEP processes, ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, and mentors staff. Her work is grounded in a deep belief in equitable access to education and a passion for helping students reach their full potential through personalized support and collaboration.
Angela’s connection to the Park Hill School District is both professional and personal. She is the proud parent of four children, three of whom have graduated through Park Hill, with one currently attending. Her firsthand experience as a parent in the district adds a valuable perspective to her work and strengthens her commitment to the students and families she serves.
Outside of school, Angela enjoys spending time with her children, reading, and staying engaged with the Kansas City community.
Elizabeth McBride
Elizabeth McBride began her educational journey at the University of Nebraska Kearney, earning her bachelor’s degree in 2004. She completed her teaching certification in 2009 and earned a master’s in Special Education from Northwest Missouri State University in 2017. Over the past 19 years, Elizabeth has served as a special education teacher for students ranging from 2nd to 12th grade.
She joined Park Hill South High School in 2025 as a process coordinator, driven by her passion for supporting students and ensuring compliance with special education practices. In this role, she oversees evaluations, collaborates with teams to improve instruction, and helps guide professional development.
Education runs deep in Elizabeth’s family, she is married to Doug McBride, a fellow special education advocate and principal in the North Kansas City School District. Together, they are raising three children who keep them grounded, inspired, and always learning.
